Since 1984 KGK has evolved into a high-end residential and commercial landscape architecture firm. They strive for excellence through a guiding process of engage, design, and implement. This process allows KGK to take on diverse challenges, whether public, private, civic, social, environmental, commercial, or residential.
The Approach
Since KGK is already an established company, we kept the initials as the focus. The lowercase initials are inviting and friendly while the serif typeface maintains the elegance of the old logo. The bold thickness makes it appear strong and solid. The underline / bar at the bottom grounds the mark and the interaction and overlap with the bar and the “g” suggest a relationship between hardscape and softscape in landscape design.
The website contains a comprehensive project portfolio organized by location and featuring stunning photography of each completed project. Detailed team profiles show the people behind the projects – both design leadership and the builders who make each project come to life. The site is built within a custom WordPress theme that’s easy to update and manage by the staff.
